This is not just pumpkin season. Squash, Turnips, Carrots, Sweet Potatoes and other vegetables are great foods. Boil some up, add a little smart balance and tekka (Japanese condiment), round out your meal with some miso soup, brown rice and beans, and you are living well!
Smart balance is a vegan and fairly non-harmful butter substitute, with all sorts of varieties, it’s okay for occasional use, like vegenaise. I get both at Whole Foods. We have kids and are not on a healing diet, per se.
