Soy Facts

Tempeh, miso and tofu are far healthier than meat

There is much controversy about soy.

Facts:

  • Soy is a top three crop grown in the U.S. (wheat and corn)
  • U.S. Wheat, corn & soy are mostly GMO
  • Most soy, corn and wheat seeds are controlled by Monsanto, DuPont and Syngenta (Switzerland). They have a >50% market share worldwide
  • Organic farms take on wind-blown GMO seeds, and are sued for non-payment by the above companies, leading to foreclosure and loss
  • Cancer, inflammation and anti-immune diseases have risen dramatically with GMO
  • In Japan, non-GMO soy accounts for a large part of the traditional diet, with almost no cancer and other health problems, and long lifespans
  • In the U.S., use of highly processed soy in animal feed and human food beverages, fake meats and baked good has skyrocketed. These are virtually all GMO soy
  • Doctors are conflicted on whether soy’s estrogen mimicking nature promotes cancerous growth, making it dangerous to young women, and those with cancer
  • Animal protein is a known carcinogen, above 20% of the human diet, based on research done by the world’s most esteemed scientists, such as T. Colin Campbell
  • Fermented products such as miso, tempeh and natto, are known to have great health benefits, and are good replacements for animal products

Given the above, I maintain that organic and/or non-GMO soy is beneficial to humans in moderate amounts, particularly miso, tempeh and natto. Tofu and soybeans are okay in smaller amounts, and processed soy such as soy milk and TVP are to be used in small amounts, by healthy people.

There is plenty of information available from many sources.
