yin and yang continued

When we eat large amounts of yang food, particularly from animal foods, we get toxic, acidic, and have trouble eliminating. Cancer may ensue.
When we consumer large amounts of yin food and beverages, as well as chemicals, medications and drugs, we may have mental issues, and
we also get acidic, and have immune issues and fatigue. Dietary and lifestyle changes can cure all these problems in a matter of days, weeks or months, depending on the severity. Learn more at http://www.macrobiotics.tv

yin and yang in your body

Yang is more compact, inward, hot, kinetic energy, which comes from the Earth, salt, minerals, animal flesh, eggs and cheese, baked foods, etc.
Yin is upward and outward focused, potential energy, which comes from the sun, sugar, fruit, raw vegetables, beverages, bubbles, alcohol, chemicals and drugs, etc.
Our body is best when it creates balance, which is easier to do when we do not feed ourselves extreme yin and yang. More at http://www.macrobiotics.tv

Calories are almost irrelevant

We all know that colas don’t have all that many calories, but they do have tons of sugar and lots of chemicals. Thankfully, the changes have started in schools and government offices. But baked and barbecued chicken is another crazy one–Here’s a recipe from yesterday’s Parade magazine: Oven-Fried Chicken, has 310 calories per serving, not out of line, but 38g protein (wow!) and 110mg cholesterol (wow!), 13g fat (multiply that by a year and gain 31 lbs.), and sodium of 400mg (also a lot). Bobby Flay supplied this recipe, which may be good for an olympic athlete, but not for the average American. Be careful!

President Clinton goes vegan (VIDEO)

Bill Clinton, 42nd President of the United States,
revealed he has been eating a plant-based diet
since May (though he says he includes occasional
fish, ala Dean Ornish MD program).

Clinton says he has been inspired by the work and
writings of T. Colin Campbell PhD, Caldwell Esselstyn
MD, and Dean Ornish MD. He cites Dr. Esselstyn’s
work documenting that a low-fat plant-based diet can
reverse serious heart disease.

Clinton says he is “experimenting” to see whether he
can achieve the same results as participants in the studies
of these plant-strong MDs.

Have a heart, get a heart

Sad that UMass lost its 57-year-old band leader to a heart attack yesterday.

Fact is, more than half of us have heart disease, and it’s totally preventable. We eat too much, chew too little, and eat too much animal foods.

Humans were not meant to eat the amount of animal foods that most of us do, and when we do, it causes damage throughout our body, because of the high fat content, high protein, acid it requires to break down, and even pesticides that are smeared onto the entire bodies of cows at factory farms. This is in addition to
suffering of the cows, and the damage it does to our environment. Learn more at http://www.nrdc.org/water/pollution/nspills.asp

If your nose is red or swelling, you have heart disease, and if your cheeks are red, it’s also a problem with your lungs and lymph system.

Here’s an easy way to improve your cardiovascular health…

1. Have meat once per week, and limit it to 4-6 oz. of organic. Make sure you have tomatoes, alcohol and dessert.
2. Eat more brown rice, and try barley and millet. Chew grains 50 times per bite if possible.
3. Buy daikon (white) radish and introduce it to your diet in salads, soups and stirfries. 4. Walk for thirty minutes outside every day, preferably in the early morning
5. Don’t eat after 8pm. Before going to bed, give yourself a massage, especially your face, hands, feet and lymph areas.
