Ground beef from fast food joints, and the supermarket, is generally made 1,000 miles away, a week ago, from 1,000+ cows, some of which may be sick with listeria, ecoli, or BSE, which causes dementia in humans (which one out of 8 of us now get). In this class we will be preparing meals that are healthy, healing and tasty! One the first night we will be cooking brown rice 1,000 Ways, making Miso Soup in a jiffy, preparing Tempura Vegetables that will knock your socks off and Homemade Pickles to keep you healthy. For week 2 we will make Decadent Millet w/ Sweet Vegetables, Blanched Salad w/ hot lemon tahini dressing, -Steamed Veggies w/ Gomasio amd Beautiful Fruit Kanten w/ Tofu Topping. Please bring an apron and take home containers.
