David Kagan was born in 1964, in Boston. A sickly and wild child due to chaotic eating and upbringing, by 18 he was exposed to natural foods, running, music and travel by father Sumner, who is still healthy and productive at 91.

David became educated, made changes, and is whole and happy. He has been married to Carol since 1994, and has two happy and successful children. Ari is 29 and lives in Florida. Jordana is 25 and lives in NYC.
